A brief December recap

Man, it's been almost 2 months since I've updated.  Guess the boys are doing their jobs at keeping me busy!!!  Everything is going good - the boys are getting excited about Christmas!  Jim helped with cutout cookies last night, and then both boys helped frost them today. Ben was very good at making sure every single part of the cookie was covered in frosting, and plenty of sprinkles!  They've been working together at wrapping all the presents...
Aunt Ashley came back home with us after Thanksgiving!  We had a great week with her, making gingerbread houses, going into D.C. to the Botanical Gardens and the Air & Space museum; lunch & shopping in Old Town; decorating for Christmas; Scottish Walk Parade in Old Town - we were busy all week long!  We're so thankful & grateful for her spending the week with us, we didn't have to worry about finding a babysitter for the wedding we were invited to, as she was our great babysitter!!!
Elfie has been busy in our house - watching over the boys making sure they're good boys so Santa can come!  It's fun to see them wake up in the morning, scanning the room and then seeing a big smile on their face when they spot him!

Halloween Festivities - Take II

We had another fun filled week, leading up to Trick-Or-Treating on Friday!!!!

My mom's group had a Halloween Gathering down in Old Town on Tuesday.  All the kids dressed up, she took pictures of everyone, and then they got to do a little Trick Or Treating.  It was a gorgeous day for it - in the 70's.  Both boys enjoyed themselves, got some candy, played in the sand, and then checked out some boats in Old Town when we were done.
I love Jim's cheese - he's been asking me a lot lately to have me take his picture.  Don't think that'll last forever!
My firefighter & Lil Devil!
Wednesday night we carved pumpkins!!!  Here's Jim scooping everything out, and Ben watching!
Jim had fun playing with all the pumpkin guts!
We asked him how we should carve the pumpkins, and he grabbed this book to show us!
Ben lost interest, so he grabbed a bunch of cars, and was using those as his musical instruments!
Like I said, Jim had fun playing with the stuff!
Thursday we ventured out to Cox Farms, for a very fun day!!!  The boys loved the tractor up front while we were waiting for our friends!
Where's Jim?!
More fun on tractors!
All aboard!!!

Halloween Festivities - Take I

I had a handful of pictures on my camera that I wanted to share with everyone -

The other day we did a little toilet paper tube Halloween craft.  I didn't get a finished picture on my camera, but Jim made a ghost & black cat...and Ben made a pumpkin & a witch.  They had lots of fun painting!  Look at Jim's focus -
Ben's very focused too.
Here are a couple of pictures from Nall's produce.  Jim has been so sweet lately - asking me to take his picture by different things.  He had to have a picture by this huge pumpkin!
The boys together!  Yes, they are both wearing Dusty shirts.  I got Ben dressed, and then Jim had to go get his to be the same!
We went to a Halloween party @ a friend's on Friday.  Here is Ben all ready to go!
My little Devil & FireFighter!
Silly boys!
Jim cheesing!
Love these 2!
Here are some pictures from the party - decorating pumpkins.
Eating cupcakes!!!  Or should I say eating Frosting!!!
Jim thought this was pretty funny - he later said he had a mustache just like daddy!
The frosting was a big hit!
I'm sure there will be a part II of Halloween festivities from this week!
