Our Thanksgiving

Last week we were up in New York for the week.  We left bright and early Saturday morning to head to Buffalo.  Poor Jim did not do well in the car, 2 hours into the trip he got sick.  Seeing him get car sick is no fun at all. We ended up giving him some children's dramamine which helped him not to get sick again.  It did make him drowsy and out of it, but I guess that's better than him getting sick several more times.

We had a great time in Buffalo hanging out with everyone!  Ended up having a Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday, which was very yummy!  Took the boys to go see Santa on Tuesday - Jim went up to him and started to talk to him, but did not want to sit on his lap.  We got Ben to sit on his lap, but after a couple of looks he started to cry.  So a Santa picture with the 2 boys was no successful, but we did get one with the boys + their aunts & mom!

We made our way up to Castile later Tuesday afternoon, and had a great time hanging out there as well!  We had a great Thanksgiving visiting with everyone.  One afternoon we went down the road to check out a train set-up that one of their friends had in their basement - and Jim loved that!!  He also enjoyed a couple of tractor rides around the neighborhood.

And then on Saturday AM, we made our way to Pittsburgh.  We got to meet Blake!!!  And visit with Rob & Jenna.

My camera battery was low, and I forgot to bring my charger home with me, so I didn't use my camera as much as I have in the past.  A bunch of pictures were taken with Mom's camera.

All in all it was a great Thanksgiving break!!  Even though we weren't all together at the same time - it was great seeing the whole family!

Ben's first Thanksgiving dinner!
Jim gets a haircut - Thanks you Grandma!!!  He got to watch some Caillou and enjoy a sucker, the only way he would sit still to get it all done.  He looks so much older now...
Ben really wanted Jim's sucker -
We attempted to get some Christmas photos of the boys - it's so hard to get them both to look happy and look at the camera...
Jim helping put a Santa hat on Ben -
Tried to get a picture of the boys together on Thanksgiving - again impossible to get them to both look at me...
Turkey makes one little boy tired...his first Thanksgiving, and he's already claiming a spot on the couch for a nap!
Some playdough fun on Thanksgiving
Me & Blake - I am an AUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!  So excited to spoil my little nephew :)

Happy 8 Months Ben!!!

Can you believe it, 8 months already?!?!  This past month has been soooo much better!!!  He's back to his happy normal self.

What Ben is up to at 8 months:

- He's a big cousin!!!!

- According to our scale at home he's 20 pounds.

- Is back to his great sleeping habits!!  We put him down at 9:00, and he gets up anywhere between 4:30 and 6:00.  I feed him, and then he goes right back down until 7:30-8:00.

- He has 4 teeth - the top 2 and bottom 2.

- He's on the move - crawling all over the place.  He's just doing the army crawl, but I have a feeling it won't be long and he'll be on his hands and knees crawling.

- Discovered how to clap - and loves doing that!

- Takes 2 naps a day - one around 10:00, that one is anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.  And then again after lunch time.  That one is anywhere from an hour to two hours.

- He's nursing 5 times a day and then gets his 3 meals of real food.  He loves to eat!!

- He's such a happy baby!!  I think the only time he gets mad is when he's hungry or sleepy.

- Still wearing size 3 diapers, but once we are out of those we will be moving up to size 4's.

- Wearing 9 month clothes, as well as 12 month stuff.

And like usual, I will leave you with his 8 month pictures.
He's figured out how to take his sticker off - it makes for taking pictures a little more challenging!!

Trick-Or-Treat

I think this will wrap up all the Halloween festivities that we did this past month.  It was so much fun being home with the boys and being able to do multiple things with them!!  It was great that they got more than one use out of their costume!

Halloween was a busy day for us.  We started our kitchen remodel!!  They came over and removed all the cabinets and everything - we now have an empty kitchen!  In the afternoon we went over to our friends house, and did a little trick-or-treating there.  It was fun to go out in the daylight!  (I took a couple of pictures, but they are on my other camera, so none of those today.)

Mark took off a little early, so he got home, we had dinner and then we took off for some Trick or Treating. The 4 of us went out together, and we went to 5 of our neighbor's houses first...Then Mark and Ben went back home.  Mark figured he'd go pass out candy while I took Jim out some more.  (We barely had any kids though, Mark thought maybe 3 groups of trick-or-treaters).  Jim loved it though!  He was running from one house to another.  And he knew if a house had it's lights off, they weren't home and we couldn't go to that house.  He would knock on the door, and tell everyone trick-or-treat.  Lots of fun!

They both won't look at the camera at the same time....So here's a good photo of Jim...and then a good one of Ben...just need to photoshop this picture and I'll have a good picture of both of them!
Here's Jim running to the next house....
And this is what Ben was doing when Jim & I came in from Trick-or-Treating...Just hanging out in his costume...in his high chair...playing trucks...
What a great day we had!!!!  They were both busy looking at Mark who was opening up a piece of chocolate for Jim!
