Random Pictures from the 1st Week...

Just a bunch of random pictures from Ben's first week.  You know, because I haven't posted enough pictures yet? 

Aunt Allison, Uncle Robbie, and Aunt Jenna Visit :)

We were so lucky to have Aunt Allison down here for the week helping us out.  Ben's arrival was perfect timing with her spring break.  And then we were even more lucky (proper English?!) to have Aunt Jenna & Uncle Robbie come down on Thursday of Ben's first week to meet him.  I don't think there are enough words to thank them for all there help!!!  I am so lucky to have such wonderful family!!!  And we are looking forward to Aunt Ashley's arrival as well!!  I will leave you pictures of their visit!!!

Jim is wearing a shirt that says I love my Aunt!  And he sure does love his aunt.  I didn't get a good one of the 2 of them though.  Next time.  Allison & Jim were skyping with Rob & Jenna - hence her not looking at the camera.

Allison came along with us (actually she didn't come along, I think I came along with her, as she drove us...) to Ben's first doctor's appointment.  And she helped to entertain Jim!!

Uncle Robbie & Aunt Jenna came with gifts for Jim & Ben.  If you notice, Rob is holding Ben on his lap.  And on top of Ben are all the clothes that they got for him.  Yes, Jim was a good big brother and piled everything up for Ben to see.

Allison got early morning snuggles with Ben.  (Or was it late night?!)  She would sleep downstairs with Ben for the first couple hours before I would come down and take her place - again thank you!!!!

Note how Robbie is holding his yogurt.  And then note how Jim is holding his apple sauce!  Jim was a big fan of Uncle Robbie - and had to do whatever he was doing!

It's hard to get Jim to pose for a picture.  If he doesn't want his picture taken, you have to move to him to take a picture.

Ben's Photo Shoots...

I had some fun taking pictures of Ben...Here are a handful of pictures from a couple of different photo shoots that we did.  Thanks for Allison for being my right-hand woman!!!  Made it a lot easier when Ben was asleep - and out cold.  You could pretty much put him in whatever position you wanted.  Enjoy the pictures!!!

Happy 2 weeks!!

Ben is 2 weeks old!!!  I'm a little behind on getting this up here - but I figured I'd wait until his doctor's appointment to do the update.  Here are his 2 week pictures, it'll be fun to see how much he grows over time!!!

All was well at his check- up today.

Head - 15" - 96th percentile
Height - 21.24" - 92nd percentile
Weight - 8lbs 7.8ozs - 43rd percentile

We do go back at the end of the week to check his weight again.  She said they like to see babies back up to their birth weight at 2 weeks.  I'm not worried about this at all - seeing as how when we left the hospital he was 7lbs 15 ozs - so in 2 weeks he gained 9 ozs.  And from what I'm reading everything says 2-3 weeks to be back up to birth weight.

But Ben is a great baby!  He isn't that big of a crier - and when he does cry, it's usually for a reason that we are able to figure out.  (i.e. he's hungry...needs a diaper change...is sleepy...)  He's a great sleeper!  I am happy to say that I really don't know what sleep deprivation is.  I am hoping it stays that way. 

And big brother Jim is wonderful!!!!!  He loves Ben!  I am so happy that the transition for him went really well.  I think it's helped that we have had people around to keep Jim busy and entertained.  But he's constantly giving baby brother lots of kisses!

The weather the past 2 weeks has been wonderful!  It's definitely spring time here!  It's been perfect for Jim, and having people around - Jim has been able to spend lots of time outside.  He would spend all day and night out there if he had a choice I think!

He has loved having Mark home for the week - and has helped him with pretty much every single job - including cleaning the cars...

He was in heaven this day - a dump truck came to delivery this stone...That's all he talked about was how the dump trucked dumped rock...He loved helping Mark shovel everything up!!!

 After all this playing, the dirty boy needed a bath!!!!!
